NANOEDMO - National Novel Editing Month

Having noticed that I haven’t edited my novel since July, I have decided to again take part in NaNoEdMo (National Novel Editing Month).

Originally, I wanted to take part in NaNoWriMo, but with focusing on my World War Two stories for my writing group WW2 anthology, editing and submitting my short stories, and editing my novel, I’ve not had time to prepare my next novel. Also, after neglecting my novel lately, I thought it would be best to focus on getting the first novel sorted. So, this year it’ll be NaNoEdMo again.

I’m ashamed to admit that I will be working on the same novel that I was working on during last year’s NaNoEdMo. However, I will be concentrating on my third draft rather than the second. I’m hoping this will help motivate me to finish the thing already.

Again this year I want to invite other writers to join me on the NaNoEdMo quest. I have set up a Facebook group where you will be allowed to share your success or vent your frustration – I couldn’t set a month long event like last year. The Facebook group is called November 2016 – NaNoEdMo. You can also find the link to the group via my Nicole J. Simms Facebook page. So if you’re editing your novel, then do join us and hopefully, we will all be NaNoEdMo winners.

Keep writing, folks!
