Shower Idea

So, what have I been up to (writing wise) these past few weeks? Well, I’ve done many things, but first I want to tell you about the one place that helps me to develop and grow my story ideas. What’s the place? Well, it’s the shower.

I don’t know what it is about the shower that enables me to go through a mind portal where all thoughts of the real world are lost. Maybe, it’s the relaxing effect of having a shower. It allows my mind to be free of the day-to-day thinking and opens me up to the amazing eureka moments.

I have often been told off for spending too long in the bathroom, but once I step into that water world, time becomes irrelevant and before I know it, I’ve been in there for thirty minutes. But after thirty minutes, I have either a brilliant idea or a development of an old idea. So, even though I try my best to not spend too much time in my Water-world, it has become a key part in the development of many of my stories.

So, what else have I been up to? Well, I’ve completed a flash fiction story called ‘My New Life’ — I now need to find it a home. I’m currently rewriting my story ‘When Strangers Meet’. I’ve changed the idea of the story, giving it more of a twist. I’m also in the process of drafting a new short story, and I have decided to start planning my novel idea, which is all very exciting.

I’ve also finished the Fantasy and Sci-fi Worlds course, and I have moved on to the Creating Great Fictional Characters course. For free courses, they are great and have given me a real insight into writing great fiction, which I hope I’m on the path to achieving.

That’s all I have for you for today

Keep writing, folks.
