It’s finally here. Tomorrow I will commence the battle and begin my novel. I predict that the challenge will send me a little loopy, but as long as I reach 50,000 words, it’s all good.
I can’t believe how quickly November has come round. While I can’t wait to start writing, I am worried that I haven’t had enough time to plan and research. My novel has a complex plot. My main character can’t trust her own mind, and there’s a plot twist. So there’s a lot to think about because with attempting to write 50,000 words in a month there is no room for writer’s block. However, I’m hoping that the plans, I have made, will help the rest to tell itself. It worked that way with my first novel, which is still in the box, so fingers crossed.
I’ve not really looked into finding a NaNoWriMo partner or the other features on the site. I think for me, it’ll be distracting, but I have followed NaNoWriMo on Facebook, so if I ever need some motivation, I’m sure I can find it.
This will be a very exciting, and stressful, time for us NaNoWriMo writers, but those finished first drafts will make all the hard work worthwhile.
Keep writing, folks!
