NANOEDMO - National Novel Editing Month

It’s nearly November, and that can only mean one thing, it’s time for NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month), but wait, what if you already have a first draft of a novel written. Well, for those who want to join in the fun of NaNoWriMo but don’t want to write another first draft, there is the NaNoEdMo.

NaNoEdMo stands for National Novel Editing Month. The NaNoEdMo normally takes place in March, but if you don’t want to wait until next year, you can join me on the November NaNoEdMo challenge.

If you want to know more about NaNoEdMo, I’ve written a post on the Horror Tree website about how you can take part in the NaNoEdMo.

My NaNoEdMo goal is to complete the second draft of my novel, which I wrote as part of NaNoWriMo 2014. My second draft will involve me working on the novel plot. I am now working on re-planning my plot and doing extra research in preparation for NaNoEdMo. I’m hoping this challenge will help me to get back on track; I’ve been neglecting my novel.

If you want to join me this November on the NaNoEdMo challenge, I have created a Facebook events page. On this page, I will be sharing editing tips that I find, and I will also be keeping you up-to-date on how my NaNoEdMo is going. You can also share your journey on the events page. I’ll be interested to see what goals you have.

You can join the event here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1655484618069735/

Whether you take part in NaNoWriMo or NaNoEdMo, I wish you all the best of luck, and hopefully at the end of November we will again all be winners.

Keep writing, folks!
